DUB EQUIS is a stage name and collaborative music project created by Derek Moorhead, an Austin-based producer, musician and DJ. Core band members include Moorhead (Production/Composition, Beats, Bass Guitar, Synths), Corinne Zappler (Viola), Tina Bartolucci (Sax, Vocals), Tim Ochsenreither (Drums), Lance Miller (Guitar) and BlackLight (Hip-Hop Vocals). DUB EQUIS spans multiple genres including Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop, Dub, EDM and Downtempo. The DE sound often combines electronic beats and synths with acoustic drums, viola, saxophone, guitar, piano and heavy dub effects.
